On Saturday January 16, the Mezz Pro-Am made its way to Fat Albert’s Billiards in Somerdale, NJ 32 strong players came out to play. the field included players like Michael Wong, Anthony Meglino, Joe Hong, Rick Scarlato, Bill Scheivert, Eddie Abraham, Derek Hestera and Melvin Garcia Sr. We’d like to thank Joe Young and Al Tonelli for hosting the event.

Leading the top half of the bracket was Rick Scarlato with wins over Rick Williams 6-4, Al Tonelli 6-4, Bob Milane 6-2 and Gary O 6-3.Leading the bottom half of the bracket was Michael Wong with wins over Ernie Bozzi 6-5, Mike Saleh 6-0, Jerry Dunne 6-4, and Anthony Maglino 6-3.

Playing for the hot seat was Rick Scarlato vs. Michael d Wong. Wong won 6-3 sending Scarlato to the one-loss side. Waiting for him on the one-loss side was Anthony Maglino who won 6-1 to get back into the finals.

In the finals was Wong vs. Maglino. This was a true double elimination event. First set race to 6. Second set one game sudden death. In the first set, Maglino wins 6-2. In the one game sudden death, Maglino wins 1-0 and the Mezz Pro-Am stop #2.
